Water Damage in Casper, WY
On this water damage job, the customer had a broken pipe that affected several rooms, and a variety of materials. A portion of the hardwood floor was affected, and was resistant to drying. We performed a drying technique known as tenting. We contained the affected area with plastic and painters tape to concentrate our efforts. We then injected heated air into the tented area to speed heating. Two slits are present on the top of the tent, to allow for pressure relief and exhaust. Our dehumidifier was positioned closely to capture the humid air that worked out of the wood, and keep the air in the area as dry as possible. Using this method, we were able to save the hardwood flooring, and prevent a costly replacement.
