When it comes to water damage mitigation, each piece of equipment that we use has an important role in the drying process. One of the most important pieces of equipment is the dehumidifier. While the effect of air movers is more visible, it does not take away from the benefit provided by dehumidifiers.

The primary job of a dehumidifier is to extract excess moisture that is in the air, so it doesn’t cause secondary damage. This will also help speed up the drying process.

As the air is drawn into the dehumidifier, it passes over cooling coils that condenses the moisture and freezes. When the coils are full, the dehumidifier enters a defrost cycle, thawing the ice into water and pumping it out of a hose and into a drain.

Depending on the size of the loss, and what materials are affected, our trained professionals will make the appropriate decision on the size of dehumidifier, and how many dehumidifiers are necessary to produce effective drying on the job.

Our technicians are certified by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification), giving them the technical expertise to effectively address the water damage in your home or business.
